Responding to the Deluge: Extreme Flood Rescue Operations
8-10 NOVEMBER | SYDNEY NSW
The frequency and scale of flood disasters, particularly in recent times, demands consistent high-level flood rescue capability across emergency service organisations within NSW, as well as Australia and internationally.
Held over 3 days, the Multi-Agency Flood Rescue Symposium provides an opportunity for flood rescue experts from around the world to share, learn and take best-practice flood rescue skills back to their broader teams, with flow-on benefits for their respective communities.
INTENT
NSW SES aims to build relationships between emergency service organisations to promote increased safety, effectiveness, and efficiency to improve how we collectively respond to, manage, and prepare for flood rescue emergencies. Flood rescue is complex, in the nature of the operating environment and due to the utilisation of responders and resources across a range of emergency service organisations. This Symposium will serve as a vehicle for maintaining existing inter-agency flood rescue capability.
